For 57 years, Osseo Area Schools current and former employees and community members have put on an annual variety show to raise money for scholarships to assist graduating students in their post-secondary plans. Some of the performers have been involved since the original show in 1967 and continue to come back year after year. This year, the performers invite the community to come and check out The Big Game at “Wastebasket Revue: LVII” at an upcoming show.
A partial solar eclipse is expected in the Twin Cities metro area from 1-3 p.m. on Monday, April 8. An uncommon midday darkness will be experienced during this time as the sun is blocked by the moon.
Osseo Area Schools currently employs 17 Occupational Therapists (OTs), who work with students from birth through transition-age, within Special Education programming. Every April, the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) celebrates Occupational Therapy Month. The celebration honors the profession and the meaningful differences OTs make in the lives of others.
Osseo Area Schools will host a Spring Career Expo Tuesday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Zanewood Community: A STEAM School.
An LGBTQIA+ History and Culture lesson will be provided during a high school advisory/foundation time the first week of April.
Voters backed the Building a Better Future plan for district safety, learning, technology and school building needs in 2022 and 2023, and planning has begun in earnest to complete all promised projects and improvements within the plan.
Osseo Area Schools is part of a partnership, along with Hennepin County and YMCA of the North, to help district families facing housing instability.
