Osseo Education Center students create Storybook Trail
The Osseo Education Center recently launched a new Storybook Trail on the grounds of the school. The trail, which wraps around the grounds, lets visitors see a new page of a book at each station.
The students at the OEC were involved in every step of the development and installation of this project. They wrote emails, laminated the pages, picked out the lecterns and chose the first book to be featured. During a chilly fall week in November, the students installed the pages in the lecterns behind plexiglass to protect it from the elements.
The first book that the students chose to be featured is “In the Middle of Fall” by Kevin Henkes. They are planning on changing the book out every few months. The OEC would like to invite community members, students and staff to come and check out the Storybook Trail!
